WELCOME to Pittsgrove Presbyterian Church in Salem County!
If a new resident, we welcome you to this southwest county of the Garden State.
We believe it to have many outstanding characteristics, including a semi-rural setting, but is also close to Philadelphia PA, Wilmington DE, as well as the Jersey shore.
Our church, located in the village of Daretown in Upper Pittsgrove Township, has been the center of our neighborhood for over 282 years, and we would love to help you settle into this part of God's beautiful creation.
Pittsgrove Presbyterian Congregation was founded in 1741 and maintains both its original church built in 1767 and its current church built in 1867, plus two historic cemeteries.
Connected to the PCUSA, Synod of the Northeast, and West Jersey Presbytery, we are a family-oriented congregation which welcomes children and adults of all ages.
We offer many opportunities for spiritual growth, including Sunday School, Bible and book studies, and retreats.
We reach out to our community through our Gathering for God (a group that collects unused produce from local farmers for distribution to the local soup kitchen and food pantries), Vacation Bible School, Father/Son and Mother/Daughter dinners, Invite-a-Friend Sunday, Trunk or Treat, The Church Has Left the Building, and so forth.
We are active in missions throughout the year collecting for and supporting the local food pantries, (Disciples Pantry in Woodstown & Victory Assembly of God in Elmer & Oasis Soup Kitchen in Salem), Salem County CROP Hunger Walks, Gloucester County Family Promise, Ranch Hope, Cornerstone, Meals on Wheels, Habitat for Humanity, and other missions: both local and international. We also offer the congregation tangible opportunities to share Christmas gifts with those in need and special projects with the surrounding community.
Our desire is to grow in faith and in the love of Jesus Christ, while alsoinviting others to know God's grace, and to share his grace with those who are not as blessed as we are.
Our worship services include elements of both traditional and contemporary style services and are attended by multi-age groups, from infants to senior, senior citizens!
Please don't hesitate to call upon us for any way we can help.
